In their article entitled ‘Nikah of Lady Umme Kulthum (sa),’ Answering-Ansar claims that Hishām ibn Sālim was a non-Shī`ī person of corrupt belief and an unreliable narrator. In this piece of writing, readers will witness that the Answering-Ansar team does not even spare Shī`ī scholars and narrators when it comes to distorting facts and misleading innocent Muslims.
Misquotations
25 - Deceptive Weakening of Hishām ibn Sālim
24 - The Folding Tails of Headstrong Horses
The Answering-Ansar team has quoted a narration from Sunnī texts that supposedly proves the invalidity of folding hands during prayers according to them. However, they have mistranslated the narration, coming up with a translation that neither the Arabic language nor a sane mind can accept, and further misquoted another text to make the narration appear supportive of their view.
22 - Outright Misquotation of Ibn Kathīr and al-Suyūţī
Another short piece of writing that reveals Answering-Ansar’s misquotation and distortion of Sunnī texts, and an example of how, when the cited references on Answering-Ansar are actually checked, the picture drawn from the quoted texts turns out to be completely opposite. The misquoted works this time are Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr and al-Durr al-Manthūr.
19 - Abū Zahra’s Alleged Criticism of al-Nawawī
The Answering-Ansar team boldly quotes the late Muĥammad Abū Zahra criticizing a Sunnī scholar, al-Nawawī, and accusing him of dishonesty due to his interpretation of a narration in their article ‘Mu'awiya.’ This piece shows the truth about it. [Time Expired; Answering-Ansar failed the challenge]
18 - Answering-Ansar’s Misquotation and Distortion of Sunnī and Shī`ī Texts
A short exposition that shows how verifying the quotes from Sunnī and Shī`ī texts referenced by the Answering-Ansar team reveals their distortion and misquotation of Islamic texts, and the Ithnā’ `Asharī scholars and propagandists’ outright fabricating of material to promote their notions and mislead unwary Muslims.
15 - Accusing Dāwūd al-Žāhirī
Another example of how works are deceptively misquoted and Islamic scholars are accused of corrupt beliefs in the material found on Answering-Ansar. The truthfulness of the Answering-Ansar team’s mentor, `Abd al-Karīm Mushtāq, has also been shown.
12 - Misquoting al-Najībābādī to Defame Mu`āwiya (ra)
A short demonstration of how Shī`īs go to the extent of deliberately distorting and misquoting Islamic texts in order to defame the Companion of the Prophet (saws), Mu`āwiya (ra).
9 - “Umme Kalthum binte Rahab” and the Sunans of Abū Dāwūd and Ibn Mājah
Answering-Ansar mentions that `Umar (ra) was married to five women named ‘Umm Kulthūm.’ One of those five women mentioned is “Umm Kalthum binte Rahab,” with a reference to the Sunans of Abū Dāwūd and Ibn Mājah cited as proof. This writing shows what the truth is. [Time Expired; Answering-Ansar failed the challenge]
8 - Did Ibn `Abbās (ra) Relate the Imāmī View?
An exposition that reveals how the Answering-Ansar team took two quotes of a Sunnī scholar out of context, joined it together, and fabricated a false quote of a Companion.
6 - Misquotation of Shiblī al-Nu`mānī’s al-Fārūq
Another short and informative piece that shows how works of Sunnī scholars are misquoted to misrepresent their actual positions, only for the sake of proving their acknowledgement of Shī`ī views. The misquoted work this time is al-Fārūq of Shiblī al-Nu`mānī.
